strange electrical "issue".. not problem, yet..

1999 Expedition 4X4 EB, 112K miles, always runs great.

Interesting thing its doing lately is flashing just once, just for about 1 second, the 4x4 light, and windshield washer light simultaneously.

It usually does it when I'm backing down my steep driveway, it seems.

I don't think the washer fluid is low, but even if so, why would the 4x4 light come on for a second along with the washer fluid light?

OK, to simplify.... start the truck up,
reverse, back down driveway, I hear a click, and notice the 4x4 and washer fluid lights are on together, then they go off together.
(yes, I do hear a click when this happens, just like the click when I engage 4HI)

Any ideas?

Are these circuits connected somehow?

Thanks in advanced. -Matt

If both fluids are on the low side to begin with, the steep incline of your driveway is causing the fluids to pitch and perhaps are tripping both sensors to indicate low fluid levels.

There are two things that I think are causing it. Most likely the fluids are shown low from the incline of the driveway like "alloro" said. The other being a short somewhere in the system.
