good question. Oil pressure still reads on the gauge, if the lifter came apart it would read 0 or low correct?
Any small tips for installing the new push rods? I know about the copper end going up (right?) anything else i should know? Tried researching but havnt found much.
IH spec is motor clocked at 11 for pushrod/rocker install.
Just align the damper mark with the cps index.
Bill
I did notice a "timing mark" on the damper.
Is that what you are talking about here?
And for all eight, or do you install some, then rotate the crank 360 and do the rest?

I was also wondering that. Mostly I'm sure you just want to make sure you are at TDC or at least somewhere close where neither valve would be open.. correct?
As far as I know, you want to be at TDC on the cylinder you are installing the pushrods in. Not sure about lashing them, do the PSD's have hyd. lifters? If so, isn't it usually 1/2 turn past zero lash? Maybe I'm just thinking gassers here.
