Well, you'll need new radiator hoses for the FE, all the bracketry, different motor mounts, exhaust mods, starter for the FE, and a different tranny. I'm sure I've forgotten something, but this will give something to start with.
You would be better off getting a 429-460 engine
since the transmission will bolt up to these engines. with the FE block you will need at least another bell housing.
hey there, i wish i could help ya on the 428 swap, but i"ll tell you i have to say you would be much happier with a 429/460 engine. the 71 and older engines are the best 360hp.,and 500lb.ft. of torque STOCK. ive done this swap to my f-150 and this truck hauls, bored .060 over on the block , 72 open chamber heads, rv cam, 750 double pumper carb, and manifold, and headers from l&l products.this engine has over 450 hp easy. now that i have your blood pumping, for the swap if your not to strapped for cash give l&l products a call they have EVERYTHING to do the swap correctly. (the headers are worth the price i just bought a pair and the add 40hp. just putting them on 40hp.) the number is 1-800-526-0064 or 1-517-625-3451 the only major pieces are moter mounts, oil pan,and pick-up tube , dip stick and a better torque converter, the rest is easy if you have a big block. have fun.
