Have $125 in gift certificates from Dennis Carpenter from Christmas and thinking of buying the carpet. It is listed for $200+ shipping. Does anyone have any expericence with this product? How is the quality and does it fit well. I'm going to be installing it into a 77 F250 4x4 with a Np435 and Np205. Thanks guys.
i would use the gift cert for something that ONLY dc has there is so many companys selling carpet on the net noadays for cheaper and better color options just my opinion regurds joe
but the stuff on the internet might not be as good quality as denis carpenter..... i heard somewere lmc "molded carpet" is just a flat peice of carpet that dont fit or for to anything...
I can tell you from my experience Dennis Carpenter sells the best products. I restored a 1948 Ford 8N tractor using parts from 2 suppliers, Dennis Carpenter was one of them. It was literally amazing the difference in quality and authenticity of his products. I just got a set of XLT door panels last night from Dennis Carpenter and they are flawless. I say anything you can afford to buy through Dennis Carpenter, DO IT!
I agree SGT_D. I bought some window seals from Carpenter and my glass guy didn't want to use these "aftermarket" seals. I assured him they were quality. He used them and then wanted to know where I got em, as he was really impressed with their quality and fit.
Dennis Carpenter isn't cheapest, but I think, few will have better quality.
i have bought a few things from dennis carpenter, and yes the quality is amazing. if you learn about how he got started in the business and what the company used to be its pretty cool. but what really pains me is that they have outsourced overseas. it says so in their disclaimer about it on page 8 in this pdf online catalog http://www.dennis-carpenter.com/pdf/67-79_2009.pdf
basically what it states is that $ is more important, and since they have the ability to outsource and make a greater profit on certain items, this is better than breaking even on those items if they were made in the usa, while still making a good profit on the items that actually still are made in the usa, and keeping a great name for yourself, and not jumping on the bandwagon of shipping our jobs overseas, to have someone in india build the part for 15 cents an hour, or just plain sell parts that are made in china, like autozone and advance auto parts does.
