just died

Driving down highway cruise set at 75 going down the road truck just quits yellow wrench popped up on dash coasted to side of road RPMs still around 1000 but had no throttle response shut truck off and restarted with no problems all the way to work. anyone know what is going on 2004 f-150 5.4 2x2 supercab

Just ck. all your fluid levels,trans oil and ect.sounds like it when into the safe mode

no but i will check when i get out of work there is no lite on anymore i wonder if it will still pick it up just the yellow wrench something about safe mode/limp home but i had full power after restarting it
