motor build time!!!!

Well not quite yet right now im gathering parts for it. and was just wondering what yall thought. and if yall know anyone that might have these parts just shoot me a pm.
here is the setup im going for:
MAF SWAP! (kevin is going to hopefully give me a copy of his notebook on his MAF swap.)
Explorer intake from 96/97
Explore GT40 Heads 96/97 or from a lightning. (doubtful.)
Long Tube headers that will fit a lightning (lightnings came with GT40 Heads)
Gt40 5.8 intake.

You need to drive up to Exit 1 off I-24 in Clarksville; they got a cash for clunker (Queen City Metal) they have a explorer expedition 80's thru 90's F series heaven up here.

don't know there hours; but I would play it safe and be there between 9am & 4pm M-F for sure. It cost 2 bucks to get in; they provide a cart type wagon to toke your tool box and parts. They accept cash or credit cards but not a discovery card so I been told.
Their prices seem alittle higher than pull-a-part, but like I said 80's thru 90's ford heaven to include alot of jeep cherokee's , durango's; and chevy & dodge trucks as well.

alright but is there pricing like pullaparts? no matter what brand/year a part price is the same all across the board?

maybe so. lol. im looking at buy an engine stand and then getting a block. after that begin gathering the parts for the build it will probably be between 6-9 months from now when i start assembling.

There's no difference in type for price; but they also don't have a print out of prices either & have core charge on some things (like doors $4 core) put as I mention prices seem alittle higher than pull-a-part. But if your into 80'& 90's fords its there.....

Maybe you & Tim can come up & I met ya if I'm off; haven't seen Tim in over a year!!!! That's prolly a good thing for him.

well it wont be real soon. im gonna have to gather the parts first as im using mostly factory ford parts. im gonna have to hit lucky in junkyards and craigslist. there are only a few parts im gonna get new. the cam... its a comp cams magnum 270 cam also gonna get matching valve springs. and a typhoon intake.
