January B/S thread
The RPMs for 65 MPH will be 2247.1
That's with the new 5.13 differential and in 6th OD at .71.
In 5th OD @ 1 then its 3164.9 RPM.

Hopefully I'll have so much torque for my usually so lightly loaded that I'm always in 6th. OD even on the hills.
Next component once I payoff this mod is to install an OD auxiliary transmission.
Load rating, I went for over-kill.

I could have gone for the Nitto Tires as they would have provided sufficient load rating for my needs (when I over load the van) but they also have too much contact patch for my liking as in when the roads are snow covered.
I went with the Michelin's for the strength of the side walls, because that's where my tires have been failing, and as a plus they have a smaller contact patch than the Nitto's.
Note that the rims are only rated to 5000 pounds, so the rated load of the Michelin's is somewhat superfluous at this point.
When under inflated to the minimum listed pressure of 75 psig. the tire can carry 4390 pounds which more than meets my needs
When fully inflated to 120 psig. the tire can carry 6395 pounds, but the rim will fail.
I wonder when the Dana 70 axle fails

As for the 75 mph speed rating,
I've only done that out West where the highways have such postings, and maybe West Virginia on I-70 (its posted 75, or is it 70, I can't remember now) otherwise I don't see it being an issue for me here in the East?Another thought on the 75 mph speed rating.

Certainly that applies to a fully inflated tire at rated loading.
As I'll be running at the minimum recommended under-inflation pressure of 75 psig., and loaded well below the 4390 pounds per tire even then, I suspect that the lightly loaded tire casing will not be over-flexing (over heating).
Now as for rotational forces throwing the tire apart, I'm not so sure, but certainly I won't have the full pressure acting upon the tire belts trying to burst the 'flywheel.'
