Lets start a good Dealer thread!
We hear about some of the bad experiances and what dealers to stay away from but lets start a thread to cover the country with dealers that are helpful and fare so in everyone's travel's if we need help we can turn to FTE for good info.
Hopefully someone will put this in a sticky!
My dealer: www.zumbrotaford.com
Zumbrota Mn
Bud is the service man i deal with and Tony is the man that works on my PS's when needed, he is one of Ford's top 1% machanics. Small town dealer with small town values!
I am not affiliated with this dealer in any way.
I have had good luck with the Ford dealer in Phoenixville PA, Kennedy Ford. They seem to have a real good tech, Matt ( I haven't met him personally). As long as I'm paying the bill, they have no problem fixin' the old girl Approx. $7k just this year, ouch...
Let me start by saying that I have no affiliation with this dealer other then enjoying a respectful and professional environment. To get to this dealership, I drive right past my local Ford dealer and continue many miles to this small town dealership. My service writer's name is Spike. To my knowledge, they only have one diesel tech working for them and for the life of me, I can't remember his name. But he is a great guy. When I first purchased my truck and needed to get some minor warranty items taken care of, he was more then willing to talk about all things diesel. We chatted for probably 30 minutes. With this being my first diesel truck, he was more then willing to answer the many questions that I had. Without hesitation, I would recommend this dealership to anyone rather then the large Ford dealership in the city to the west of them.
Mine is Crossroads Ford, Kernersville NC between Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Aaron is the service manager and I can not think of the tech to save my life. Great bunch of guys willing to help. And they are awesome and are willing to work with you on the prices and labor when they can....
Country Ford Trucks in Ceres, Ca
This is where I like to go if there are any issues with my 6.0
They also work on all sorts of diesels and work trucks so it seems like they know their stuff. I am not affiliated with them btw.
Sam Galloway Ford in Ft Myers FL- Bill is a great parts guy and I have confidence in the svc. dept. Orleans Ford in Medina NY -nice country dealer and great service.
Without a doubt, this service department is to me what I think a service department should be like. Very knowledgeable, does not give me any hassle what so ever. I tell em whats wrong, they say ok, test it. Then fix what the problem is. No oh well lets start with the cheapest, or smallest, or say we fixed it and didn't. I've recommended tons of 6.0L in my area to this place. I'm definately satisfied.
P.S- Talk to Tom. I dunno who the other guy is, I don't trust him. And the mechanic's name is Lee.

Reason: Cheezit said its about the mechanic. :)
Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie has always treated me right. I don't buy all that much from them but the parts guy still recognizes me whenever I go in and they give me a small deal on stuff.
my dealer... But im not saying what one. you have to scoure the country looking for me.
Now that said keep one thing in mind the dealer experance has alot to do with the techs that are empoyed there. By nature of the industry we move around alot so I think it may be more of an important matter to find a tech that you like and know somewhat and follow him/her if they move on.

Thats exactly why I didn't send my truck to the dealer to begin with, the guy I liked is no longer there, he always did little things like recharge my a/c, flash my truck and just little things for nothing and was always willing to talk to me when I came in, even went so far as to give me his cell number for one problem, just asked that I only use it for that one problem haha,
Red Hill Ford in Red Hill, Pa. I have been dealing with them since 1987 and their service staff have been there for as long if not longer. 1 Bronco II, 1 Ranger, 2 Explorers, 1 Focus, 2 diesel F250's

You are 100% right cheezit, thats why i listed the tech's name so if anyone went to my dealer they knew who should be working on the truck.
One more thing, it has alot to do with the attituide you walk through the door with, with even if you could kill someone, you can get alot more done if you are calm and curtious on the outside!
Cain Ford Located in Cornelia, GA. Ask for "Kyle" The Guys A Genius The service writer-service manager is Roger( pretty sure he use to be a tech also) I have been trying to learn more about the 6.0's and the 5.4's and Kyle has always been very willng to help every time I have a serious question. I do though try to do as much reserch on my own before asking him or Roger. I also haved worked in several Dearlerships myself and respect their time.
