OK...here is the deal...i am looking for an air cleaner for my frineds truck with a 240. I dont konw the numbers but to my eye.....the 240 and the 300 look the same in the carb deparment. He wants to ditch the OIL BATH air filter...never seen one of thoes....and go with one that breaths better. If some one has any pointers on what to do let me know....thanks!
Mud, nothing breathes better than an oil bath filter. It's just nasty to clean. There is a difference in those carbs. I think the top where the air filter fit's is the same size though.
Be careful not to swap the 240 carb to the 300. You must use the 300 main jet if you do the swap.
