P0461 code what does it mean?

My CEL came on today. I had the code read, came back P0461- fuel level sending unit condition... '06 f150 screw fx4 36,000 miles , if it matters.
Several months ago the gas gauge was slow to rise after I filled the tank, only happened once, I read on FTE to put in injector cleaner. I did everything was great.. till now.. Is this related? Anybody had this code? I don't wanna pull the tank. the pump is fine , as far as I know the gauge is working Input please

Fuel level sensor A circuit range/performance.
Possible causes: Fuel level circuit intermittent, signal line open circuit.

Also lists electromagnetic interference from aftermarket devices as a possible cause. Do you have HID lights?

The description of the code just states "Excessive electrical noise". Best guess is you've got a loose or bad connection somewhere.

Well I dunno.. I just disconnected the batt. cleared the CEL. the gauge went from showing about3/4 to just under 1/2.. Which should be about right i guess(200 or so miles on tank) Maybe I need some more injector cleaner seemes my gauge had a brain fart. I hope it stays off. I can't stand a light on in the dash.. Any input??

Some quick research turns up the following possible causes as well:
Bad gas cap
Bad gas with high sulphur content

Solution is to replace the cap and find a new fuel station. Also run some fuel conditioner through the tank. The post I read suggested Red Line Fuel Conditioner.
