I put mine on pretty much by myself. My 10 year old son held the down pipe while I put the V-band clamp on.

I did mine too by myself, in a light drizzling rain at that. The company sent me a system for a Duramax, sent that back and they sent me the right one a week later and couldn't wait for a sunny day, go figure, PMS. Easy enough a cave man can do it.

Did it by myself in about three hours. The downpipe took the longest and getting the old crap cut out of the truck. MBRP is a good system.

I'm also fixing to purchase a 4" SS system and have some questions. Is the only difference in the T-409 and T-304 just polished v/s non polished? I also am confused on the warranty. I see both systems offered on Clay's site with lifetime warranty. I see the same MBRP T-409 kit over on dieselsite.com wirh only a 5 yr. warranty?? What am I missing here? I was also hoping to see these kits offered with a muffler delete pipe included and thought I had seen them before. What do you guys think on this 4" MBRP kit, use the included muffler or run it straight. I want it to sound good but perform at it's best. My truck right now is straight 3-1/2", no cat, no muffler. I like it but anxious to get a 4" SS on there ASAP. I just ordered my 6637 filter and have an order in with Pete for my cover.

As far as MBRP is conderned they have a lifetime warranty on the Stainless Systems and since we are a factory authorized dealer you warranty is safe.

Personally I prefer running a muffler and you won't loose any performance by doing it.

T-304 is a higher quality stainless steel. It has a higher chromium and nickel content. Because of that you can tell the difference between T-304 and T-409 using a magnet. A magnet will stick to T-409, whereas it wont stick to T-304. T-409 will also tend to oxidize and corrode more easily, but not nearly as much as plain steel. I only know this having been around and purchasing restaurant equipment for more than 30 years. A T-409 exhaust will still outlast an aluminized steel exhaust however.

The MBRP muffler is a straight-thru design and sounds great IMHO. Very little drone (I get more from the intake), and it definitely turns heads when I hit the throttle. Until then, it's not obnoxious at all. I'd buy another MBRP without a doubt.

The performance will be a bonus but I just ordered the 4" for noise reasons. I have been running the muffler delete but it is just too obnoxious for my taste.

Speaking of ordering it, props to Clay. I ordered it less than 36 hours ago and it just arrived. I asked Clay for a shipping number but there is no need when it gets here in a day and half.
