ya there fairly steep but i couldnt make that drop shackle in the front any lower or else it would be too high and wouldnt fit in the garage even with dummy tires so we just used wedges to get the pinion angle right and im from nova scotia

Wow, i've never heard of a shop limiting a build lol. Lucky me I have pleeenty of room till I hit the roof. Except one of my lights doesn't work. I have to use the forklift to go up that high lol.

What size tires are those?

And what exactly is your plan with this project?

Rears in the front are actually pretty soft, been around a few trucks with that setup. One of my friends had F150 rears in his Yota and actually found them to be too soft and had axle wrap issues, so he went to 52" Chevys instead. F150 springs would be a better place to start, but it's nothing pulling a few leaves or having a well worn set of springs won't cure.
F350 SRW rears stock are rated at 2810 or 2975lb per spring depending on options, where the stock fronts are rated at 2200. F150 4wd rears are anywhere from 1650lb up to 1950 lbs rated.
The F350 springs probably won't be any worse than a cheapie lift spring.
Shackle angle is pretty steep in those pictures, but, with some weight on it it'll probably be not too bad.

this is true, get all the weight back on it and it should flatten out a good bit consiedering you dont have the weight of eninge/tranny on it...depending on your engine and tranny thatg gotta be well over 700 lbs...that will squat er down a bit

Both sides of the leafs will squat IF they do. It takes quite a bit of weight to flatten out those leafs. And either way, that will still leaf a pretty steep angle right there.

I think that front hanger needs a bit of a modification to correct this.

i believe that when he gets a motor in there and the rest of the stuff, it'll be ok. he looks to have the same dimentions as mine does and it is ok.

He says it will ride like a tank because typically the more springs you add the worse your ride gets. Same goes for add-a-leafs.

Although I think at a certain point, you don't really realize how crappy your ride is lol. One of the biggest things I have noticed is that Dana 60's ride a lot rougher than IFS lol.

the rears are thinner leafs that is why there is more. they are also longer and will give a noticablly better ride.

Thats a matter of opinion I believe.

And I took a leaf from the rear of another truck to put on front of my F-350 and I believe its thicker lol.

sorry guys my computers been messed up but the tires are 40s and i plan to just play around in the swamp in my back yard with it maybe go to a few mud bogs and the springs are actually pretty soft i think with the weight of the motor on then itll ride fine.

spring thickness and rate all depend on the vehicle you took them from...

those leafs look pretty thin, ven though there are a lot of them i bet they will squat a fair bit with engine and tranny in it, look at the rear shackle, they are pretty much verticle, get some weight on them and theyl drop back quite a bit and then the angle wont be as bad
