Hey I put my 89 7.3 in a 86 that had a 460 and I was wondering if the 86 fuel junction box uses a electric selonoid or if it used the pressure from the old electrc fuel pumps which I removed to swap tanks?
I have the bed off and figured now would be the best time to do somthing if need be.
Thanks.
turn the key forward flip your tank switch and see if you can hear it you gotta listen close or have someone turn the key for you and crawl under to hear if it switches.
While the bed is off you may want to check your fuel pickup tubes and replace the end with a fresh piece of hose. They're known for breaking then you can't use the last 4-5 gallons of fuel.

good call.if you do replace the rubber hose make sure to cut a v at the end of the hose so that it doesnt suck itself to the bottom of the tank
The 460 was carbed but it had a return line in it already.Yeah I did replace the pickups when I yanked the electric pumps now it just has a engine mounted lift pump.
Thanks
