I'm not an english major but I suspect that there different meanings in thowe two statements as one uses a comma and the other uses a period - should we report this to the higher ups

There is an old craftsman with a truck called Earl,
His posts are of wisdom, most say pearls,
When he speaks we clamor and all come a runnin,
It’s like trying to ignore E.F. Hutton
The Wizard of Waynesville is too great a lure,
His contributions are many, we’ve all learned for sure
So when he tells us to ignore him, that his post was a test,
I was compelled to read it, along with the rest

Ya know, I've been pretty much been out of the picture on this forum for about 6 years. In that time, maybe half of the folks who regularly participate have changed. It's clear, however, that the new folks are just as warped as those who have moved on. I could dress everyone up, but I would never dare to take you all anywhere. 
We have some nicely done poetry, some reinterpretation of an affirmative statement based on punctuation, and elephant and pencil fetishes.
I'm beginning to think my quantum mechanics professor was correct. Even in empty space (like a test thread), particles spontaneously pop into existence and then vanish in an instant. Sort of like posts spontaneously popping into existence only to be replaced by a new, totally irrelevant posts. My head hurts now so I'm going back to bed and take a nap.

The problem is, Slim, that I have now expended more time reading the replies and writing the two posts trying to get this thread to die than I did solving the HTML problem I was researching with the original thread posting. 
Next time I'll use the title "HEY EVERYBODY LOOK HERE THERE IS SOMETHING INTERESTING AND I HAVE LOTS OF STUFF TO SELL AND I AM FRIENDS WITH MOST OF THE WIERDOS ON THE FORUM".
That should GUARANTEE nobody will ever bother to read it.
