What type grease

I got my injector return line kit and need suggestions on the grease for o rings during install.

When I am working on jets I use either fuel or a little bit of Vaseline. Not a big difference between Jet A and diesel. We have special Assembly fluid for orings used in fuel but we hardly ever use it unless we have a really tight oring that is hard to get on.

I use motor oil on mine.

Be liberal with it, what gets in the fuel system just adds BTU's to the fuel.

Motor oil here as well. Mine popped on with no problem.

I had been told I needed a special silicone grease but that didn't sound right

downeast nc, I forgot to welcome you to the forum and FTE.

Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.

Whew, glad I got that in there before you made to many posts.

Low tech engines, there are not a lot of special tools or materials needed to work on these engines or trucks.
Basic knowledge, basic tools, this forum and a few questions/answers and you can fix almost everything on your truck.
