351 M help

I recently had my 351 M (79 F150 4WD) out had the heads redone and replaced the timing chain. I must have forgot something as I am getting no spark (Pulled a plug and watched for spark) and no fuel (installed a clear filter) I turned the engine over enough that I would think the fuel pump would kick in and the no spark??? I guess I got over my head, any suggestions? Ways that I could trouble shoot?

Thanks for the space.

Did you remember to put the fuel pump eccentric on the end of the cam gear?

351 M help

Was the crank gear alignment key re-installed? No key, no drive the distributor, or fuel pump . Is the rotor turning inside the distributor? Does the motor turn over OK?

Thanks for you response,
When I replaced the timing chain I remember putting the Oil Slinger back on.... I dont recall on the fuel part, where would it have gone? I did not move the engine I just pulled the old chain off with the gears and put the new on one.

As far as this Key goes??? Man, I really screwed up I don't recall any key other the the one on the harmonic balancer? The rotor does turn when I crank the engine and the engine is turning over "normal" just no spark. Any other ideas?

Thanks for taking the time to help.

the fuel pump eccentric(assuming you have a mechanical fuel pump) is behind the timing cover, its an oval shaped cam lobe (removable) some are two piece, look in the parts box that was left over when you rebuilt the engine!!

Thanks, I got it..... I hate to admit that it was a kinked fuel line and a improper ground. Just a hint....fuesable links are generally not grounded!!!! Thanks to those who tried to help, runs fine.
