Yesterday on my F-250 6.0 I had it plugged in and went out to start it and for about 3 to 4 minutes forgot I had it plugged in to the electric outlet and was running the motor. Question will this hurt anything and does it have a fuse located someway that can blow?
Even if you plugged it in and ran it off a generator in the back as you are driving, the cooling system properly working, in all but the most extreme conditions (e.g. heavy towing uphill), can dissipate the heat of a block heater.
These devices are generally 1,000 watt, or at most 1,500 watt.

Will not hurt a thing (motor or house AC power).
The element just heats up the coolant... the worst that can happen is that you drive off and forget to unplug the extension cord.
This is why I drape the cord over my driver's mirror so I am forced to see it and remember it.
Your fine... no damage to anything was or will be done.
You only need to plug in 3 - 4 hours for the full benefit, so many of us use an outdoor 1,000 watt rated timer to minimize oour electric bills. The block heater uses about 1,000 - 1,100 watts it has been told.... so use a goog heavy gauge extension cord and heavy-duty timer.
