Today I was driving my 2006 powerstroke. When I came to a stop I heard the warning buzzer. I looked down at the info center and it said I had low oil pressure.I checked the oil filter and the plug on the bottom. Nohing was wrong so I had it towed to the (no so local) ford dealer. The won't do anything until Monday because no one that is certified will be there till then. I want to know if anyone nows what it is before they try to screw me over.
wow I know what it is. and with a comments like " before they screw me"is not gonna get you far with me or them.
Geeze, cheezit.... next you are going to allege that there are really good dealers who earn an honest living because they have great techs and equipment that no one else has... and the parts in stock that is right on the first try (not after the 8th return).. like the one I use.
OK.. OK ... Its a oil pressure sending unit, 99% of the time on any but the 03/04.25 build.. I have seen a few g-rotors fail but they like to take out the turbo when they dump, or the truck just goes no start.

Good info Cheezit. Rep points headed your way!
Word to the wise, never tick off the diesel tech that will be working on your ride. Never a good thing. However, being armed with as much info as possible before taking it in is always a good thing. One of the reasons I love this site and am thankful that techs like Cheezit share their knowledge with us.
