I have 04 6.0 f350 that started blowing white smoke with 6 weeks left on the factory warranty, I had a Ford dealer do the repairs after a month I get the truck back. They replaced the EGR cooler and Oil cooler, less than 3000 miles later the truck is blowing white smoke again, but now it's out of warranty. Is there a warranty time limit on repairs done under warranty? Thank you in advance for any help.
NO, once the warranty is out, it is out. It will not extend due to parts being replaced or repaired. Now that being said, if you go back ot the dealer that did the repairs, and be a gentleman about it, not a jerk. The dealer can call and get Ford to authorize the repair under an exception due to the time and mileage from the last repair.
If the dealer refuses to get the proper authorization and give you the run around, then ask for the regional service manager and start working your way up the line of command.
But, be a gentleman about it. Remember even if you need to get a little more aggressive in your quest, you can still be a gentleman with your approach. Stick with the facts, leave the emotions out, and don't start to threaten talking to a lawyer. It is all a matter of communication.
I would be willing to bet the dealer steps up to the plate and handles the problem.
The dealership should complete the repairs even though the truck is technically outside the warranty period. I had issues with my AC blower fan on my 1998 Mustang GT and the final repair (3rd attempt) was 1K miles outside of the 36/36,000 warranty period. If the dealership does refuse to make the repair, call FMC and file a complaint. Hopefully, you will not need to make that call.
I had the same stuff replaced on my 6.0L,when the Ford dealer did the work some anty-freeze got into the exhaust system and it smoked for a while but then the smoke cleared up.There should be warranty on the parts & the work they did, please let us know how it works out for you, good luck,Gigger

You have a couple of things going for you. First, your warranty should be extended for the amount of time they had it in their shop. Second, if it now has the exact same issue as before, you can argue that they did not take care of the issue while it was still under warranty, and that they still owe you that repair. This last one is particularly important if it should turn out to be head gaskets.
When there is a coolant issue like this, Ford REQUIRES the shop to first replace the EGR and oil coolers before they will work on head gaskets. Don't let them use that policy against you to avoid a repair that they rightfully should complete.
Has the dealer already denied your warranty, or are you just wondering in advance? Obviously, getting it back to them needs to happen ASAP or sooner.
The dealer that made the repairs is in WV and now the truck is NC, my local dealer said that the parts may be covered but the labor will not. I stayed in constant contact with WV dealer and it took them over a week to even diagnose the problem, I just feel they didnt do the proper repairs knowing that I wasnt from the area and the amount of time left on the warranty.
I'm Lab1133 neighbor. If the Ford dealer in WV and here in NC tell him to bad so sad . What do you all think of bullet proof diesel egr cooler and oil kits. I've rebuilt my 1978 F-150 351M by myself and I work on helicopters for a living. How hard can some top end work be? I've seen the installation video and it looks like a 1 1/2 to 2 day job.

Anyone with some common sense and average DIY repair experience, its not that bad at all. Its not what I consider a "major" job but it is time consuming.
Thats what I was thinking, It looked like a 12 pack job. I hope the dealer ship service people realize that they just put a bandaid on it, and the real problem needs to be taken care of . If not, its somthing that can still be fixed. thanks for the info.
