tranny questions
i rebuilt my transmission myself. i had snapped the inter shaft guess too much power. i bought a manual showing me how to do it. its the second time i have done it but now the TC isnt locking up like its suppose to. Its a brand new tc all new bands input shaft deep pan. The OD light is flashing now i know its throwing a code but have no idea how to get it. all the gears shift like they are suppose too. it just started flashing yesterday its been two weeks since i got it done. any ideas were to start looking i tried cleaning the bulkhead connector wondering if the solenoid pack has died. thanks for any help moneys tight now thats why i rebuilt it

The place to start is have someone check the codes. Without the codes all you can do is buy parts and install them until you happen onto what's wrong. That will get A LOT more expensive than paying someone to read the codes.

i had the codes read and it got one for torque convertor slip so either i knocked the teflon seal out when putting the tc in the tranny or the solenoid for it is crap it was fine before i snapped the shaft. im leaning more torwards the seal seeing how i had trouble getting it in all the way and had to pull it off twice trying to seat it. the first time it slid out and rolled across my driveway splashing fluid everywhere. hope i didnt damage anything. i disconnected my batterys for 10mins and reconnected them now i have no codes but it still wont lock. its my only vehicle so i cant afford to burn up the torque convertor or tranny again. it acts funny shifting every now and then so wondering if its the solenoid pack or just a loose connector. i did put a low/rev modulator valve kit in it while the valves were out. i only drive 5 miles to work and 5 miles home now not much highway just wondering how long i cant drive like this til i get it fixed? ive been babying it to work and the parts store. thanks for the help
