wheel leaning

Hi all. I have a question about my front end on my 1995 F250 7.3.
I just installed a 4 inch lift on the truck. It looks sweet but I have a problem. My front wheels are leaning in at the top but sometimes they they are out at the top. I've only driven it around the block just in case it's something major. Sorry if I sound like a new bee but I am.. My first
play toy..

Thanks, John

The lift should have come with a drop bracket for the d50 front end to help with alignment. Pics?

Welcome to FTE!

Thanks, Yes we put the two drop brackets on the front end. That was the hardest part. Those darn bolts on the top are hard to get to. I just don't understand how the tires can be out, then drive down the drive way and they are in at the top. ? I checked to make sure the wheels were not bent and all the lug bolts are tight. We also changed the upper and lower ball joints a few months ago.

I'll take some picks in the morn.

The term for that is camber angle. Positive camber is out at the top and negative is in at the top.
If you are using the 4 wheel then they are going to change a lot while driving. If you are turning the wheel back and forth while parked it will usually change it a lot too.

My guess without seeing it is you have worn out spring bushings and shackle bushings. It is very common on these trucks. A lot of people think it's the springs gone bad but it's not. The constant twisting of the ifs front end on the leaf springs just eats bushing for breakfast.

Go get it aligned at a good shop. Good luck finding one since I stopped doing it. .
A good shop should tell you what is wrong. You should have had it aligned when you installed the lift anyway.

Having really excessive toe will make camber go all over the place too. If you haven't aligned it yet then I am certain this is at least part of your problem. I hope you got a drop pitman arm too. You are wasting your time without it. ANY lift on these trucks requires a dropped pitman arm to maintain proper steering geometry. The factory one isn't really down enough for a factory ride height even.

It's a rough country lift. I changed the stock pitman arm to the dropped one. I did notice when Putting on the new front springs the front shackles moved kinda easy.
I'll get it aligned and see what that does.

Thanks for the help..
