Had the remote start system installed today and it works great.

I've been wanting a remote start, do you know if that set up is all plug and play?....

If it has PATS then its not plug and play. You would be required to have an WDS, IDS or PDS to program the remote start.

When I bought my truck in 03.They had a hard time getting around the PATS system.
Had it in there 3 times before they got it right!
They said ,because it was new and they hadn't done one yet...lol

I have done so many of them that I have lost count. Its actually very easy to do but the problem is that most techs don't read the install instructions

ah ok, the Ford one is very easy to do. It comes with detailed instructions on how to do it. Even on how to program it with pats

ok, deep breath. We have moved the truck to the back end of the garage to start the new stereo, etc. installation... Pray that I don't go off the deep end before they're done with it (hopefully in a couple of days).
