For ease of install and cost...the Insight will monitor everything the others can (and very well), with the exception of Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure. Most just add those two as analogue.

Can someone post a link to a double pillar with a fuel pressure gauge with 1 more gauge that the Insight doesn't monitor? (unless you guys tell me the stock oil pressure gauge is also useless, in which case i will get that) I checked out Auto Meter diesel truck gauge kits and can only find a dual pillar that includes boost and pyrometer (which the Insight already has correct?).
So are you saying the SCT X3 doesn't come with the canned tunes anymore? (doesn't really matter to me)
I now remember that a guy I work with has a tuner (SCT as well i believe) so I think i will be able to find my truck strategy. Once I have this, i contact Innovative, let them know I want the SCT X3 with custom tunes, let the custom tuner know what I use the truck for and what kind of tunes i want and theyll ship it off? I will also be ordering an Insight from them as well.

Sounds like you have everything figured out exactly. Yes the Insight does have EGT read out, but you will need to use their EGT probe. Approx $72. Still much cheaper than an anlogue probe. If you are ordering your programmer direct from your tune writer...all you need is the X3, not the SF3. I don't have a problem with the factory oil pressure gauge...Although I'm not sure how accurate it is. If you tow, you may consider a rear differential temp gauge. Just scan thru any of the sponsors websites and you will see pretty much what is available. Check out Diesel Manor.

Okay well I'm interested in a fuel pressure gauge for sure, however I'm still trying to decide on one more. Unless the Insight covers every parameter I would ever need.
By the way i do not do too much heavy towing. I tow sled trailers ocassionally in the winter, but most of the time I just have my sled in the bed. In the summer i tow a small 12' with dirt bikes.
