You figure it out just like we did in the above posts. If he had seen the 3 under the bolt during the first post, it would have been obvious what it was. But that happens all the time, they stamp the numbers on the tag and then punch a hole right through some of them. When he discovered the 3, I bet it said 3L27. On one of the trucks I had it had a 3L50 and it had a 3.50 to 1 limited slip rear in it.

The important part is a number, a letter, and two numbers that begins the second line.
In this case, 3L27 is a 3.27:1 limited slip.
If there is a space instead of a L, it's not a limited slip, and would have read 3_27.
So mine should read 3L55 (I haven't checked) and a 4.11:1 would be 4L11 or 4_11.
Make sense?
The top line will tell you things about it also, but it's not easy to read (or at least, I haven't learned a pattern)
