SoulMan's in Dallas for BBQ.

And I may be branded a heretic for this, but MY personal favorite for steak is Texas Roadhouse. Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's noisy inside. But after having visited both Saltgrass and Texas Land and Cattle, I find that T-R's steak is a better value -- 99% quality, 75% price. (also, can't eat taters, and T-R has other offerings.)

Oh, and those who think DFW and Houston are too big to drive across for dinner, haven't had a good enough dinner waiting on the other end.

Now Lariat! That was just mean! Do they even know what a football is in LA? Anyhow, did I ever tell ya I used to date a girl from LA? Her name was Lu, no relation to our Snowbunny of course, our Snowbunny is much cuter and still has all her teeth,, Any how, Lu was a horny gal, And I am proud to say that out of all of the guys she slept with, I was the only one that she wasnt related to,, In fact, thanks to me, she found out that those of us NOT from LA actually prefer the "Front" door,, her middle name was Anna. And after having me, she realized that there just wasn't enough men in her family to satisfy her, so she ended up with every other guy in your state! Eventually getting herself stereo typed as easy. In fact, after she serviced every member of your capitol building, they decided to name your state after her! Yup,,,

Lu Easy Anna

LOL, ok, I will go back to my corner now,,,

Best Western Duncanville Inn & Suites
922 E Highway 67,
Duncanville, Texas 75137

I knew my plowboys joke would rile a Texan. Sorry King didn't mean to offend LOL Thanks for the info on how La got its name. ROFL.Actually I'm a Cowboys fan. I ain't wearing a bag over my head like the Saint fans. do. Hows Texas Bunny? I wish I had the time to drive out & visit a friend in Keller. He recorded a great red dirt country cd Highway Home by The Mike Childress Band. Its been on the Free Texas Radio internet station top 10 for 4 months now. We would hit some of the best red dirt country music clubs in the DFW area. I've had some good times in Texas.

No, worries!!! Thank you so much!!! I hate going somewhere I' ve never been and don't have a clue where to stay!! I can get a map of the area, but that does NOT give you a feeling for it!!! I would hate to find that I've booked a room for a week or two at a place where they normally rent by the hour!!! Thank you so very much!!! *hugs!*

Well Bunny, have fun in Texas. Haven't you found any FTE contacts near where you are going to get some guidance about where to stay?

Maybe try the Texas chapter?

It will be warm and sticky in April but not over the top hot. That doesn't start until mid May. You'll most like be treated to some awesome thunderstorms too and hopefully, the bluebonnets will still be out in force. Take a ride out 290 to Brenham and prepare to be awed.

And eat ice cream. I think it's against state law to mention Brenham without talking about ice cream.
