Well it could be that the PO had the front spring sag problem and bent/broke then welded it.
Man thats really scrape'n for an answer, but its the best I could come up with.
The springs are probably not sagging, the mounting bolts and bushings are worn out.
I wasted 300 dollars on new springs only to find out that front spring shackles and mounting bolts were the only thing that changed the ride height, the springs did nothing.
Getting the bolts out were a real pain, so I swapped in the new mounting hardware as I got the old ones apart, the swapped the springs after all the new mounting hardware was swapped in.
New hardware increased the ride height about an inch.
New springs and it was still sitting at that one inch increase.
Should I just get an Energy Suspension kit for the whole front end on this truck? I'd rather go that route before taking the front leaf springs in for a re-arch or getting new ones. This is on a D50 TTB front axle. I might as well do the rear end too.
