Every now and again I get a pop up that says something about a 'Script that's running is slowing down your computer -- would you like to stop it'.
Has just started in the last few days (and I've run NAV and spybot since it started)
Doesn't matter what I do, I either have to kill FTE, or it will stop responding, and then I have to kill it.
Has yes and no buttons plus a little x for closing it, but nothing makes any difference.
Only happens on FTE as far as I can tell.
I didn't make out a ticket on this because it happens so intermittently. Just thought that I'd mention it.
What browser are you using and is it 100% up to date? I am running the latest FF and get it every once in a while on a forum site. I belong to several and it isn't always FTE. Not sure why but once I stop it and re-load the browser and page everything runs fine.
It may also be a function of what else is going on. If I have too many windows open, the script hangs up trying to execute.
I'm using IE7 (NOT 8). I usually run 2 or 3 windows, but I've cut it down to one and I still get the problem. I've had it happen repeatedly even after I closed down and cleared everything.
I go to a couple of other forums, and I don't see it there -- although they're much smaller than FTE
