Computer help, FTE won't load.

Computer help, FTE won't load.
I can't get deesktop computer to load FTE and one other forum, it loads fine on my laptop which is on the same network. All other pages seem to work just fine, doesn't skip a beat. I've run my antivirus, adaware, spybot and AVG anitspyware, nothing out of the ordinary there.
I did have some friends using it yesterday (the desktop) and have asked them if they messed with anything, they said "no". Even some forums which seem to have the same basic layout as FTE load just fine. I' stumped. It was working fine, I went to another page came back to refresh and couldn't.
I have restarted, both shut down to manually restart and the restart itself.
Trying to get onto FTE just gets me Server not Found. I'm running Firefox, but it won't load on IE either.
Any ideas?

/I would create a ticket, but I'm 99% sure this has nothing to with FTE. My appologies if I should have anyway

Yep, tried that too. Just went and did it again, both browsers...nothing. Tried disabling my firewall as well
Emptied trash too, I had just chunked a bunch of duplicate images in it.
restarted and nothing's changed

Are you noticing the troubles at about the same time? I'm a swingshifter, so I'm on here at all hours of the night. I've noticed trouble lately around 3 AM(ish), but not on any other site.

I think this site goes down for self maintenance around 1:50 am my time. And no, it's been like this since around 12 last night. I didn't get on today and thought the server had gone down. I tried at my grandparents and it worked. tried again at home and no luck until I broke out the laptop. Then I started investigating. No luck so far...
I did find one entry in my Firewall relating to FTE last night but it didn't give any info really. Firewall is now uninstalled, including all traces (I think...). I've now found one more forum (3 total) that won't load.
I have no idea at this point. I'm ok with computers, but not too good.

Have you checked your IE security settings? If someone changed to a really high security level, you may not be able to go hardly anywhere that someone uses even a mild cuss word.
I've got a forum, tonight, that won't load... get a message that says:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
I"ve never gotten that before and was on that site just yesterday. No matter how I type the address in, I can't get there. We'll see about tomorrow.

It's a bit slow, but I haven't got the "this page can't be displayed" since 9:08 (PST). I tried adding some info to a recent post, no luck. The old high speed internet service we had (Adelphia) has been replaced by Time-Warner. T-W so far has had more glitches in three months than the previous service had in 6 years. It was down for a full day, customer service said "no problem here." Uh huh, yeah right, that's not what the neighbors said...^&^&%% cable companies!
