I just replaced a front hub bearing aasembly on my 2002 F250.I paid $376.00 for it.I assume it will not be long before the other side goes.I seen a pair of aftermarket ones for $260.00 on ebay.I assume they are chinese made but has anybody used them ?
I had one of my abs sensors go, and found some hubs complete with sensors for 90 each. You can't even get the sensor from ford for that, so needless to say I now have two installed. I figured like you, the other side will probably go soon, so for saving the hassle later, I just replaced both. I have only had them on for maybe 1k miles, but all is well.
And I also lost the locking hub on that side when the bearing went.So I upgraded to Warn Premium hub stainless and brass.A lot smoother.I know why the big 3 cheapen up parts but do they realize if they make a superior product that they would control the market ? Another thing that sucks is Ford factory limited slip. They do not work great when new.
