2001 brake leak

2001 brake leak
I've got a leak up on the master cylinder. It is leaking at the port at the front of the master. it is an electrical connection that is on the top rifht in front of the reservior. I don't know what that connection is for, and have not been able to find it online anywhere. 
Any help would be great.

The switch in front of the reservoir is part of your cruise control system, it's a redundant shut off switch. If it's leaking disconnect it and leave it disconnected until it's replaced. The switch is part of a recall so get your V.I.N. ready and check your truck for recalls here

Disconnect and cover with electrical tape. Find out if your truck is included in the recall then bring your truck in so they can order the part. That's all they did with mine till they got the part is disconnect and cover with electrical tape, gaudy looking but it worked.
