Winch wiring?
I recently added a winch to the front of my truck. Does it make any difference which battery I hook it up to? Is there a benefit to one over the other?

Both batteries are hooked up in parallel... no difference.

I wired mine to the driver side battery but I don't rcall if there was any particular logic to that selection.

Wire it to the shortest run... save copper.

I would use the one on the drivers side.... seems like the passenger side one has the most draw when starting..... at least that's the one that always seems to die first!

If that is the case, why not rotate the batteries location once a season?

Connect to the same side as the alternator, that way your don't put extra strain on the cross cable.
