it was originally type f when it came out in the mid 60s. i guess dex/merc was an upgrade

you guys are gonna get a kick out of this one, i was getting my truck aligned today and was offered an estimate on re-placing my worn front ball joints, i said sure how much, i busted out in a laugh when i heard 640 dollars, i had to decline. i ran price check on 4 new ball joints and hit 75 dollars LOL do you believe that???

Tbenks, thats usually how it goes lol.

My friend, who is not mechanically inclined whatsoever, went in to get ONE new tire, and somehow they managed to sell him a whole set, tell him he had bad wheel bearings, bad ball joints and it would all cost him around $1000. Haha.
