Hey gang..... intermitant problems cured with Motorcraft MAP sensor. I'm not sure if after market parts made my problems worse or maybe problems moved around but everythings been great after RE-replacing the MAP.
OK, new problem, or maybe the same but not so intermittent. So, after a good , heavy rain when i turn the key to the on position i hear the fuel pump running. Normally i hear it run then stop and the engine starts fine. When i don't hear it stop the engine won't start and if it does [rarely] it smokes until the check engine light goes off. I tried reading the codes but got nothing. also tried changing the breaker. When i first got my Bronco i had to seal a seam or crack across the whole front portion that is under the panel between the hood and windshield. Brain box in the kick panel seems dry though. Anyway, i was hoping this would sound familiar to someone who could pull the blinders off my eyes. ALOHA

Reason: missed a word
There is always at least one Code. ALWAYS. Fuel pressure regulator MIGHT be at the root of this problem but to be certain you will have to check for fuel in the vacuum pot or pull Codes to see what the PCM "thinks" is wrong.
i'm thinking water is getting somewhere it shouldn't , but i don't know where. On dry days she runs like a champ. Actually , she runs like a champ on wet days too, but has problems after a heavy rain.
