The truck runs great no problems there, the little bit of smoke during the colder weather ,like you said is probally from the moisture and colder temps.I have the banks 4" turbo back monster exhaust and still have the kitty on.
I'm waiting to see if the HS's will cure the stiction on the longer crankin time to start.
The only thing I have not done and plan on doing may be tomorrow is check the voltage in my FICM. Maybe you should try that as well. How do you know that there is an injector striction problem? Codes? Run rough?
I don't know how to check the voltage on the ficm, and stiction maybe someone can chime in here and explain it better than me but is defined as a static friction that keeps a object from moving in our case our injectors from working properly.maybe run a bit rough or longer crankin time to start ect.
That was my question on the injectors. How do YOU know that there is a problem with them? I would want to know for sure before adding any additive in the oil. It shouldn't hurt anything adding hss. Here is a couple of links to the procedure and pics of the FICM. FICM pictures by DrQuad - Photobucket
Thanks for the links for the ficm, search the forum for hot shots secret, there has been lots of discussion on it some positive, some not so positive,i have used before with no problems as maintaince, now I have longer crankin time to start and want to see if this helps by cleaning the oil side of the injectors.or check out there web site, and there explainations.
Checked my volts from my ficm and it read 48.4V. So I still think it is the moisture form the straight pipe and no cat, taking longer ot warm up. Have you checked yours yet rcorcich <!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: postbit_onlinestatus -->?
