A different odometer ------ problem

Hi,
I usually figure out all of the problems on my vehicles but this one has me stumped.
I am hoping someone here has seen this before.
02 supercrew 4.6
The common ------ showed up on the odometer yesterday, engine turned normal but no start. After letting it sit a while it started.After I got home the dashes are still there even with key OFF, I read about the relay swap fix and tried that but no change.

This morning I tried it again and theft light was flashing, I tried 2 different keys but no start.
Took the key out for a minute then it would start but still has the dashes every time I turn it off.

Also, some of the accessories work with the key off, windows, pedals do, but wipers and radio do not. The check engine light, oil light and ABS light stay on even with key off.

Heres the really weird part....
I can remove fuse #4 (confirmed to be power mirror) and the odo dashes go out, and the CEL, oil, ABS go out.
If I put it back in they come back on after about a 1 minute delay.

Any ideas????

PS, I do have a remote starter/ alarm I installed in 02, still works perfect.
I completely disconnected that thinking it was feeding power to one of the acc. wires but that had no effect.

have you noticed any rain water on the drivers floor? has it rained excess lately? some trucks exhibit a leak on the windshield above the steering wheel. water leaks into the majic box below and can cause corrosion and shorting out... power to several odd things is the result. thats one idea!

It was dry when it started doing this, rained all day yesterday.
I did have other issues a year or so ago from the box getting wet but I didnt think that was the case this time, but could be.

I made a work around for this problem, As mentioned in the original post the power mirriors were hot all the time and somehow supplying power to some acc. and the cluster, so I pulled the mirror fuse and did an add-a-circuit type connection from another accessory fuse to the power mirror fuse connection.
So now its hot only when switch is on and seems to be working so far.

Thanks for the ideas and let me know if you think of anything else.
