I have a 1954 F250. I did a frame-off rebuild about 5 years ago (someone else did the work). The suspended pedals (harvested from a later vintage but I'm not sure the year) are attached to the dash for stability. One of the aluminum ears attaching the assembly to the dash has broken allowing the pedal assembly to torque and preventing the clutch from engaging fully (I drove it home it fifth gear when it happened). I was able to brace the assembly using some aluminum strap but I'm not real confident about how long this fix will last.
Is there a bolt-in pedal assembly that works easily and dependably to install suspended pedals in this vintage Ford?
Welcome to the forum. I know Industrial Chassis has a setup. If the quality is anything like the crossmember I got from them then you can't go wrong . They have nice stuff!
Jim, can you go back to the people who did the work and ask them what donor vehicle the pedal support came from? The simpliest thing would be to replace it with the same part. Ideally, it would be good to figure out why it broke, if it was an installation mistake or a simple part defect. BTW, Welcome to the forum. ;-)

Thanks, jim.
Hi Jim, I got a hanging pedal kit for my 48 f1 from Industrial Chassis Inc. back in 2004 and was real happy with it. It had a firewall mounted master cylinder and clutch cylinder and installed real easy.
Thanks for the ideas. I can't seem to find Industrial Chassis products. I found their web site but not pedal assemblies. I'll call them next week. I have also found Wildwood and Tilton pedal assemblies (Summit and Jegs). I can't (won't) ask the man who did the work for many reasons but mostly because I am not as proud of his work as he was. I was hoping to find a bolt-in assembly I could do without too much manipulation.
Depending on how it broke you can just have it welded. (yes the aluminum)
If you have a local college you could check there, often the professor or a qualitifed student can weld it up for you real cheap. They should have a TIG welder that can do it.
