Is it worth saving?

I have the original 3 speed manual overdrive transmission from my 59 F100. It has been laying in the back of the box for years and you aren't able to turn the input shaft, so seems that it is "frozen" up. I won't be using it in my project. Is it worth keeping or should it just go in the scrap pile?

I would just fill the whole trans up with marvels mystery oil, and keep trying to spin it.

Im in northeast Nebraska. I will have to measure the input shaft.
Havi, since you said you were interested first , you got first shot. Really don't want to deal with shipping.

Let Bob have it, I'm far away from needing one yet. FWIW, Conway is a freight company that is pretty good for picking up and delivering all over the U.S.

one other suggestion is to at a minimum pull off the solenoid or governor jigger off it, and sell just that. they can bring in some coin and folks that have them are alway's looking for them.

I understand your issue about shipping it they are a pain, don't kill yourself. I'm interested in it if the input shaft is about 7" if not, pull the bit's off it, looks like a pony can of brew. and I guess toss it. if you feel like getting dirty, I've seem folks selling just the tail section....

Ive never shipped anything that big. I would imagine that it would have to be strapped to a pallet and delivered to a shipper. Anything else?

They are becoming harder to find and more in demand for the Resto-Rod crowd.
I'm thinking of doing the almost impossible and mate a R11 up to a late 60's 4 speed Toploader behind a Flatmotor.

EDIT: Check the OD items here - http://stores.ebay.com/Garage-Motors...34Q2ec0Q2em322

Holy cow!! OK, mines not that pretty or doesn't work as well, but I'll take half of what they want. Just kidding. If someone can use it, its theirs. I would prefer not to ship.
