Binding clutch pedal
The clutch pedal on my 73 F100 390 4spd 2wd occasionally binds up on me. It pushes hard and stops a couple inches off the floor. It will continue to do this a couple times until it pops loudly and then works correctly. The pop seems to come from under the dash, not down by the transmission.
Have any of you had this trouble? Is it a worn bushing binding up? The clutch acts good otherwise, no slipping or chattering. Any ideas?

Binding clutch pedal
I was puzzled by the same type of hang up followed by a sudden release and POP!! I discovered that when I changed the left side flange gasket, I left one of the corners toward the clutch arm and it was hanging up on the header flange! DUH!.....Jim..
