I have a '78 F150 with a 351M engine , the problem is that the choke doesn't seem to be working. The carb is a motorcraft 2bble 2150 that i recently rebuilt. The emissions sticker on the valecover says to set the choke to 2RICH. In the mornings it takes forever to warm up . When you hit the accelerator the flap on the carb doesn't even move . It runs fine after warms up , could the choke linkage just need adjusting ? It is getting power ,any help you could provide in troubleshooting/adjusting my choke would be much appreciated .

Try turning the choke adjustment to the rich side until you can see the butterfly flap begin to close, with the engine off of course. Then, adjust the setting until it suits you, a little at a time. I had the same problem with my 1978 F150 4x4 w/351M. The factory recommendation wasn't near enough. Good Luck with it. It may take several days worth of trying different settings.
