I have a 97 F150 with a factory alarm. The other day the alarm starting sounding off for no appearant reason. When I tried to start the ignition to disarm it nothing happened, the alarm kept sounding. I have since disconnected the battery but everytime I try to reconnect it the alarm goes off again. Any suggestions on how to disarm this system?

 

Reconnect the battery, then.
Press the 'unlock' or 'panic' button on the remote transmitter,
or unlock the door with the key.

There are over 50 pages of diagnostice in the shop manual..........

Possibly the RAP module behind the driver side kick panel.

 

I'm have same issues. Factory installed alarm. 1997 f150. Single metal key, no chip key or fob. There's no toggle or valet switch anywhere. Alarm goes off when i open the door, and will not start. How do I remove the alarm completely? I don't have a fob so don't care about remote locking or unlocking. Factory alarm must have a start kill.
