ok so this is my problem and i cant find the solution...when driving on highway or citydoesnt really matter how i drive it the temp starts rising and the fan comes on and when this happens i speed up for example if im going 65mph i speed up to like 80 and the temp comes back down to normal. my truck is a 2005 psd with 127k miles, full egr delete, new water pump, oil cooler replaced about 4 months ago, radiator flushed when i did the oil cooler and new thermostat and yes im using ford gold 50/50....help plz
any puking? is the belt slipping? why was the egr cooler deleted and the oil cooler repalced. did you get a new radiator cap? what are the temps for ect/eot?
pukes very little if it overheats egr cooler deleted bcuz it was letting water into intake and oil cooler bcuz there was oil in the coolant and no i didnt replace the radiator cap and idk if the belt is slipping
If you don't know if the belt is slipping then chances are it's not. Where do you keep the coolant level in the degass bottle? The min mark should be used as a max mark. You might try to replace the cap and see if that helps any. You should moniter eot to ect temp knowing the differneces between the two will go a long ways in diagnoseing the problem.
i changed to oil cooler about 4 months ago, could it be clogged this soon???? and y would the degas bottle cause the temp to rise???is there a way to check eot and ect without going to the dealer??
yup buy some much needed gauges for ect eot. Theres a good thread going now about this very subject.
Is short the radiator cap helps keep the overall tempature at an avarge by reducing the amoount of localized boiling

I just read a Ford TSB that states "If you replace an oil cooler and do not flush the coolant system and use VC-9, then you risk plugging the oil cooler again". Hopefully it is rare for that to happen, but it seemed to elevate the importance of clean coolant systems AND the use of the VC-9 cleaner!
