2007 Problems?

I'm looking to buy my first PSD. I really want the 04-07 body style but I'm nervous of the 6L. I've talked to several people I know who own them and they've never had a problem, and I realize that an online forum has an over population of people with vehicle problems.

I've read online that by 07 they pretty much had most of the bugs worked out and they only switched to the 6.4 because of emissions. Can people on here confirm that the 07 year is less troublesome or is it still just luck of the draw?
if it matters I'd get an ext cab, long bed, 6spd, PSD.

Mine is an '07 lariat supercab, long box, PSD, auto. Bought it used with 21K. OASIS and carfax were clean. Be sure to check these before buying. By far the best truck I've owned, and now that I've had it 6 months or so, it still never fails to impress me. It does everything I've asked of it exceptonally well. No problems whatsoever. Hot weather, cold weather, hungover or hungout the truck has been rock solid reliable. The only defect I could find with the truck, and I'm not the only one to gripe about it, is the tires. My truck still has the OEM Continentals, although not for long, and they are awful.
Strictly follow the maintenance recommendations by Ford and this forum and you should be good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
I'm sure you'll hear from other happy owners also.

05 6.0 with 92k had for 6 months, put 9k miles on it so far, check oasis on mine and #6 injector has gone out twice, have a 01 7.3, great truck also, but the 6.0 has more pulling power than the 7.3 and better fuel economy, i pull a tractor and trailer weighing about 9k and my 6.0 pulls it with more ease, at idle it still pulls it, my 7.3 doesnt, remeber maintenance is top priority for 6.0 and all diesels in general.

Dont get me wrong 7.3s are great motor, i just perfer the 6.0, long live the PSD
