i thank you for the help but are you gettin' senile or just a smart*ss?
also i looked on top "with the hood up" of the passenger side framerail and like i said there was nothin there and the mounts just might be coverin' it up like i said.or maybe ford just "left them off" for me to make it difficult.

Blue there are no mounts between the firewall and the radiator support. So tell this ol smartass just what you are referring to.

what are you refering to?
i said my perches might have been covering the area that you stated the vin was located.
UPDATE!
i have found the vin on the frame,they were under dirt that had laid in the numbers so it wasn't legible.i didn't even know it was dirt and not the frame but i found them and they match my title.

blue I am glad that you found the number, I'll be able to sleet better tonight.
On my trucks the perches are on the cross member that connects the left frame rail to the right frame rail. I didn't know that I needed to tell you that there could be crud hiding the number from you. How thoughtless of me.
