i screwed up.
i'm redoin' my truck and the original doors were not gonna be used so i threw them in the junk pile and i forgot to take the vin plate off the door.i know!,
yes our friend came and got the junk to take to the scrap yard and it's gone!
are the numbers anywhere else.
i know there on the frame but where?
also the chances of them being legible are probably slim.
any insight or info would be great cause this trucks got a clean title and it's in my name for the last 7years and someday i might want to sell it who knows.
thanks!
Blue I know you are pissed about the Ford Edsel thing, but if you aren't too mad, take a look on the right (passenger side) frame rail on top about where the front axle crosses under, and your vin should be right there. :-)

Get the VIN off your title. If you know what the transmission, axle, color codes, etc are, you can always buy a new data plate!

'59 2door corsair hard top to be exact... sitting in my garage getting older until I can get my mind off my 66 F100 and find the money to do a full, frame-off resto on it. Beautiful cars, though. Glad this one's in the hands of someone who appreciates 'em.
jowilker?.
what's that?
these computers are no different than a cb.
oleblue is my trucks name and my cb handle.the 70 was just stuck on the end cause at the time somebdy ese had oleblue for a username.
the name was picked by a ex girl friend years ago and it stuck.
hey.
is the vin on the drivers side door jam good enough for a truck to be considered a clean seller?
i don't want to sell it but you never know when somebody might give you a good offer.
also i can't find the vin on the frame.i think it was jowilker who told me it was on the top frame rail above the front axle?
well when i put the 351w in it i welded different perches in it and they might of got covered up.
Hey bucket mouth, quit yer ratchet jawing on your cb, and look for that number again. Ford didn't leave it off just for you. It is the passinger side rail, and you raise the hood to look, not crawl under. :-)
