Identify this transmission

a guy has this tranny for sale, He doesn't know what it came out of, but thinks it is in good shape, My syncro is going out into 3rd gear and needs replaced cause it grinds if you shift it too fast, I have a 1975 F250 4X4 4 speed, trans code "A", He wants $200.00 for it, Will it fit in my truck?

NP-435 due to the aluminum top.

I would say it would fit, that is what is in my 76 F-150 4x4 with an FE block.

Even if it was a T-18 it would bolt on, by looking at that picture and assuming you have a factory highboy, that tranny looks like it's made for a mated transfer case setup, but you should be able to switch your output shafts if it's the same tranny.

that tranny is a ford NP435 from a 2WD. it is missing the rear tail shaft cover. You can tell by the speedo gead and threaded end of out put shaft. should work in your HB as it should have a divorced T case.
