serpentine belt

serpentine belt
so i put the bbk under drive pully kit on my truck tonight and the serpentine belt is about an inch too long. does anyone know if theres a mustang or bronco belt thats about 1 to 2 inches shorter than the stock belt for a 94 5.8

You can get the belts in different sizes , there should be a number on your belt saying what size it is , then get a shorter one , you may have to try a few belts untill you get the right size , thats what i did .... Lew

Just take a string or piece of wire and wrap it around the pulleys in the belt routing you are going to use, and make a mark or cut where the string overlaps itself. Measure this length, and multiply by 10. That will be the part number on the belt you need. IE if the measurement comes out 89.5 inches, you would need a 895 belt. To be on the safe side, buy one the closest to your measurement, then one above and one below.
