That is one bad a$$ torque wrench. The next time I need one I will get that. And just to clear things up alittle I'm not saying I don't use a torque wrench on anything. I'm saying there is alot of stuff I don't. Like filter caps mainly cause I don't want to risk breaking them. I have done I like this for years and have never had one leak. I guess it's cause I have been wrenching on cars since I was in diapers (my grandfather owned his own shop for 40 years). There is stuff like wheels yes I will torque anything internal on a engine I will torque. There is a torque spec for every bolt on the truck if you go by them all you will take all day just to change the oil or filters or anything like that. Do you see what I'm getting at. For intance if you were to change out the oh-shi* handle there is two small nuts there. If you were to look in the book there is probably a torque spec for those are you going to use it? If you do then more power to you. I don't agree with all torque specs either. Like the other day I was installing a itp rr kit went to do the first banjo bolt. Instructions said 28 foot pounds. Now that sounded way high to me but I had my torque wrench out so I went with what it said. What do you know nowhere close to 28flbs snaped the bolt. Had to order new one and wait on it to come in. This time I did them by hand to what I knew they needed. And my torque wrenches are calibrated (hell there brand new) only been used once earlier that week.

No mark I didn't write that on your behalf I just felt the need to explane my thought. And for anyone that read this i'm not against torque wrenches just don't use them for everything. And I don't trust torque sticks. No real reason just personal prefrence.

Just funnin' w/ ya!

FYI -
I just checked the calibration of the new torque wrench I bought and I can make it read +/- 10% pretty easy. My old torque wrench has even more variability than that. Based on that, I think that in many applications (filter caps are one of them) that the "feel" method is every bit as good! HOWEVER, I do know some folks that just don't know their own strength and really should use a torque wrench for EVERYTHING!

My brother borrowed my inch-pound torque wrench for his valve cover gasket replacement. He brought it back and said it didn't work. I said "how do you know" and he said ..... "it broke my socket - see?"!!!
