I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get to the heater core on my 76 F-150? I haven't torn into it yet cause it looks like it might take awhile, all i can see is the plastic cover that looks riveted shut. I was wondering if i need to drill the rivets out or if i can get to it from the heater motor compartment. I would appreciate any info. Thanks
Here's a link to an article on replacing the heater core in a factory A/C truck. It's not as hard as it sounds in the article. I did it in mine in about 4 hours, that was taking my time. Of course you don't do the last steps unless you want to replace the blower moter while your in there. IIRC there is a combination of seven bolts and screws holding the cover under the dash on. Two of the bolts have to be accessed from under the hood I think, it's been a few years since I've done it.
Im having issues finding a heater core to fit my ‘76 F250. Everything on it is stock, but I’m having issues with finding a heater core that I wouldn’t have to rig to fit. You guys have any leads on where to get one?
