ok..I got the title for my F100.
It says that its a 1967. The VIN #'s match..they are as follows
F10ALA43173
OK...Heres the part I dont understand. Did ford offer a stepside in 67? My Truck is a StepSide..Is this a weird truck? rare? any thoughts or views would be greatly appreciated
Well, Ford definitely didn't make as many Flaresides(stepside) as they did Stylesides. My 1970 is a SWB Flareside, and I've only seen maybe one or two like it on the road. Makes an excellent starting point for a cool custom ride.
Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. IMHO, it's a vehicle worth holding on to.

Cartman, you boys put toooo much into them numbers. There were good 30 years ago, tells you how the truck came out of the door. The truck could have been crashed in the first week and the body man could tell the owner, hey I got this two year old bed out back that would work on your truck just fine, and you have a bed change. Engines, trannies, grills can all be changed. Take a look at the photo gallery on this site, There are at least two (maybe more)65 trucks with 66 grills in them.
The number is good for a title, and only if it were in a wreck would that be checked on a truck that old.

In the still cool hours of the night, you can hear chevys rusting away.
My younger brother has a '67 F100 flairside shortbox. I have seen several '67-'72 flairsides so I don't thing that they were very rare, but I do prefer them to a styleside. Definitely the makings of a head turner.
Cartman, your ’67 Flareside is not weird at all. In fact, the short and long box versions were very popular vehicles for use in the U.S. National Parks and Forest Service although some were hideous shades of green. Also very popular public utility service vehicles. They were usually standard cab models with the painted white grill and bumper.
Just a personal view, always thought the SWB version would make a cool looking street rod with a lowered front-end and forward rake.
BBB..it has a White Grill and Bumper! lol.
Anyway. I was just curious about it...I got the truck for $100 with a clean title! it runs great! in 1978 my grandpa somehow managed to blow up the stock 240 I6 so he dropped in a 300 I6..so its got a newer motor..I need to get some new body panels and repair the box though..I'll get some pics and maybe you guys could give me some tips! Pretty much what I want to do is fix it up and get rid of all the rusty old body panels and fix the dents in the cab.. infact, this old truck has quite a history..I'm only the 3rd owner! the first owner drove it everyday from Traverse City MI to Grayling MI delivering mail..cool huh? then my grandpa bought it and its been a super truck..he used it as a wood truck..hehe I'm not going to let go of this truck!

Beware: the site you refer to is only intended to decode 1970-1980 VINs. Here is what I am able to discern for you (assuming your number is posted correctly):
"F10ALA43173"
Model Year: 1967
Series: F100 - 2wd Pickup
Engine: I-6 240 cid 1v
Assembly Plant: Michigan Truck
Consecutive Unit No.: A43173 This truck was built in November 1966
The historical information you have gathered about your truck seems to agree with the decode data I just gave you. You have one of my favorites. I expect a picture for my scrap book. :-)
Sounds like you've got a neat rig there. I picked up a 68 Merc short stepside a few years ago for $400. Wish I still had it. Seems like the stylesides are a lot rarer, at least up here in Alberta.
