A few months ago now I collected all the parts needed for a front disc brake conversion.
I purchased a front knuckle set from a 74 F100 on ebay. I got one knuckle in one box, and 4 downdraft carbs in another box. Whoops. So I sent the carbs back, and the guy sent the spindle to me. He sent the wrong spindle. I sent that back, and never heard from him again.
So now I have all the parts I need for my disc brake conversion except one damn spindle, and can't find it anywhere.
Does anyone know where I can purchase one, or have one in the backyard I can buy?
Man I hate it for you. It seems no matter how hard we preach buy your donor and avoid all this kind of crap, someone doesn't get the message and is in trouble.

Which side do you need? The right and left spindles are not the same.
And...are you sure the parts you bought are for a 1974 F100?
D3TZ3105A .. Right Spindle / Marked:D3TA-3107-CD or DD
D3TZ3106A.. Left Spindle / Marked:D3TA-3108-CD or DD
I am looking for the driver's side. Can you check Ford inventory levels of this part? I would imagine that there are few in existance.
D5TZ3106A .. Left Spindle / Obsolete
Fits: 1973/79 F100/150 2WD.
WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has ONE = 606-787-5293.
No Ford Dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any.
I should have checked FIRST before typing the above post...to see if the D3TZ-A spindles were replaced by Ford.
Both were....by the D5TZ-A spindles. My 10/88 microfiche edition of the 1973/79 Ford truck parts catalog makes no mention of that fact, but my 1979 & 1981 versions do.
The 1975 edition of the O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) catalog says the same thing: D5TZ3105A replaced D3TZ3105A // D5TZ3106A replaced D3TZ3106A.
My apologies. I of ALL people should have known better, because...Ford replaces 10's or 1000's of part numbers EVERY fracatta year.
Keeping track of all the number changes was...and still is...a royal PITA!
I usually verify part numbers before posting them to see if they were replaced or not, but I was fooled by the casting number specifics.
